There are two kinds of billet heating systems feeding the bell presses and screw-press: gas and induction. The gas furnaces burn a methane-air mixture, whereas the induction ones depend on electricity.

The latter technology allows for optimum heating performances. In both cases billet heating is managed by software and is constantly monitored by optical pyrometers.
