The chip removal machining department in via Carducci has different kinds of machine tools in terms of the size and complexity of product to be processed. It is also equipped with more than 30 machines capable of creating all kinds of pieces. Transfer machines for the production of 3 sides items with fixed clamps.
These machines, where clamps do not rotate during the production cycle, can have 10-18 units and are suitable to work especially easy items.
On thise equipment, milling or threading operations (in interpolation with special profiles) can be executed, thanks to new units on cross
working centres. These centres can eliminate expensive additional operations. These machines have automatic loaders, with robot as well, which reduce the production costs.
Transfer machines with clamp rotation and 4 sides machining.
This type of machine is an evolution of the previous one but with more units. The production quality is higher since the clamp rotates in the machines, allowing the machining of the 4 sides but avoiding any other additional machining process. Moreover, in these machines you can have angled operations as well as milling ones.
Transfer machines with clamp rotation and 5 sides machining.
This is the latest evolution of the transfer machines with vertical
axis table and with 15-28 units. The item, in these machines,
can rotate on its own and consequently it is possible to machine it on 5 sides, with drills, threads (single-point as well) or complex profiles
for interpolation in a single operation. Moreover, these machines have high performances in the units, in cut speedness as well as in time and superficial
finish (thanks to the adduction of the refrigerant by a spindle).
